MEET THE FAMILY-The Esterlines

We are the Esterline’s #WyomingStrong, Daddy Rob, Mommy Shiloh, Super sister Asyiah Marie, and our sweet Mateah Rei. Our family motto is “Love God, love people, be thankful, hope with expectancy, run the race to win.” Our youngest daughter Mateah was diagnosed with Rett syndrome on December 12, 2013. She was 3 years old. Strong, bright, silly, compassionate, and patient are just a few words to describe our girl. Her light undoubtedly shines through the darkness Rett brings; her smile is evidence of this!

In those first few months after she was diagnosed it became very clear that this journey is no sprint—It’s a marathon. 8 months after she was diagnosed we tied up our shoelaces and hit the ground running with our first 5k event: Move it Move it for Mateah! This year will be our 6th event, which is so hard to believe! It feels like just yesterday yet, it feels like an eternity that we started this event. Weird how that happens.

90% of proceeds from our event benefit Girl Power to Cure and Rett research while 10% is donated locally in our hometown. It’s been humbling to witness the incredible community of people who have come together to support Mateah, our family, and the cause. A tribe of warriors who fight alongside us. We are so incredibly grateful. With our big God, beautiful family, friends (Rett friends included!) and our amazing community, we will continue to believe, fight, speak life, and hope for a cure—To Get Her Stronger!!!! We MOVE IT because she can’t. We will MOVE IT until she can.

We would love for you to join us August, 17th for our 6th annual Move it Move it for Mateah! 5K event. If you are interested in joining us in person or supporting from afar follow the link! We would love for you to be a part!
