“It’s coming soon, Poppy!”
GP2C Team;
My granddaughter Blakely (age 8) has been blessed to attend several “day camps” in the Nashville area this summer. Blakely is a little unusual in that she seems to thrive on social interactions, especially with her peers. I think she tends to get a little bored at home and likes to be on the go! None of these camps were particularly designed for special-needs participants, but with a little pre-coordination and the help of some wonderful individual volunteers, Blake was able to participate. Here at GP2C, we tag these kinds of experiences as #RisingAboveRett! – read the rest of Kevin’s letter to the community.

Rett University

Summer Learning – Tips from Rett U instructors Susan Norwell and Kourtney Barnum.
Welcome to summer! We hope everyone is enjoying relaxed days, and some time to travel, swim and recharge. While the downtime is a welcome respite, it can also be a time when our kids lose some of the skills acquired from the prior school year.
Click here for tips to help keep those skills sharp, including subscribing to the Rett U Book Club!
Rett-U Book Club will be ongoing throughout the summer with a book every other week. And finally, please contact us if we can assist with your upcoming school year planning! We are anxious to help with IEPs and other interactions with teachers, aides, and administrators to further your child’s communication and educational experiences. Have a great summer and enjoy this time with your child!
Whenever you read a good book, somewhere in the world a door opens to allow in more light.
