Garden Of Hope

DIG DEEP, PLANT A GARDEN OF HOPE AND WATCH IT GROW!

You have the power to grow hope for hundreds of thousands of suffering girls and boys worldwide. Garden of Hope campaigns are springing up in businesses, restaurants, banks, salons and at events all over the county. They’re a great way to involve your community, spread awareness and raise money for Rett Syndrome research.

To really flourish, these gardens need only three ingredients:

  1. Volunteers to plant the Garden
  2. A Host for the Garden
  3. Sponsors to help them grow

You’ve seen shamrocks, sneakers and hot air balloons that you sign in exchange for a $1 donation, we have flowers! Together they create a whole Garden of Hope.

HOW IT WORKS:

We need both volunteers and host locations to help our Gardens of Hope grow!

PLANTERS CAN BE:

  • a Rett family
  • a girls’ or boys’ club
  • a ladies’ or mens’group
  • a volunteer organization
  • anyone interested in planting hope!

HOSTS CAN BE:

  • a business
  • a bank
  • a store
  • an event
  • anywhere hope can bloom!

HOW IT WORKS:

  1. PLAN
Your very first step should be to brainstorm about how and where you would like to see your Garden of Hope grow. Make a list of possible host locations and print out information from our resource page to present to them. Once you and your hosts have agreed to grow a Garden of Hope, you are ready to order your kit!
  2. PLANT
Bring the flowers and other supplies to the host location(s).
*be sure to let us know where your gardens are growing!
  3. CULTIVATE
Check in weekly with your host to see how things are going. Do they need more flowers? Do they have questions? Do they need help hanging the flowers?
  4. COLLECT
This step can happen two different ways. You can collect the funds or have the host send them to us directly. DO NOT mail cash. Ask your host to write a check for the amount raised or have someone in your group/family write a check. You can also take the cash to the bank or post office and have them write a money order. The bank charges a small fee for this service.our mailing address:

  5. FINAL STEP: CELEBRATE AND SHARE!
Throughout the process, post your progress and photos on Twitter, Facebook, etc. Share with your friends, share with us! Connect with others planting around the country, encourage them — challenge them!
