We love surprises in the mail! Today we got a $500 check from Kylie, a senior at Titusville High School in Pennsylvania. For her senior project, she organized and hosted a 5K Walk/Run called Running for Rett: Jogging for Jorja in honor of Jorja Peden.
Kylie said, "The project could consist of any topic and medium of my choice. Jorja is a four-year-old girl in our community who has been diagnosed with Rett Syndrome.
"I wanted to raise awareness for this rare neurological disorder, as well as help support the Peden family. The huge event was carried out with success. The amount of community support we received was overwhelming.
"My expectations were not only met, but exceeded!"
Kylie has donated a portion of her event's proceeds to GP2C so we can continue to spread awarenss and help families battling with Rett Syndrome daily.
Thank you Kylie!!! And thank you to the Peden Family and everyone at Titusville High School!
