Maisy is happy loving 3-year-old New Yorker. She loves swimming, cruising the neighborhood on
her hot pink adaptive bike, music and reading books (especially Sandra Boynton and Dr. Seuss).
Maisy developed typically until around 8 months then she made slow progress for a little while until
the skills she fought so hard to develop began to slip away after her second birthday. Although
she once said a few words, we can no longer remember when she last said mama, dada or love
you. She now communicates through pictures and eye gaze - lucky for us she has the most
beautiful eyes!
Maisy attends a special needs pre-school and works to keep up her strength and develop new
skills.
We firmly believe that we must speak for those who cannot speak for themselves. A cure is waiting
to be found and we appreciate your help
in bringing us closer to that day.
